RESEARCH SNAPSHOT
Research-associated effects
Areas of effect or outcome that researchers have investigated or reported in the literature. These are research associations, not guarantees of a particular result.
Evidence varies by compound, model, formulation, route, endpoint, and study design. Component-level findings do not automatically establish the same effect for a blend.
RESEARCH NOTE
What the research measures
Early randomized studies in healthy adults examined pharmacokinetics and changes in GH and IGF-1 after administration. A 2006 study reported sustained, dose-dependent increases in GH and IGF-1 in the study population.
RESEARCH NOTE
What that does — and does not — establish
Changing a hormone concentration is a measurable pharmacologic effect. It does not by itself establish improved muscle, recovery, aging, performance, or another practical outcome. Those questions require appropriately designed clinical studies.
RESEARCH NOTE
Safety and regulatory context
FDA has identified limited clinical data and potential immunogenicity and peps-impurity concerns for compounded CJC-1295, and has listed reported adverse events including increased heart rate and systemic vasodilatory reaction.
